The deadly attack in Nice, was not the only violent incident to take place on Thursday, in the wake of a strong reaction in France, led by President Macron, to the beheading of a teacher near Paris nearly two weeks ago.
The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for British Sikhs has written to the UK home and communities secretaries asking for urgent action to address anti-Sikh hate crimes, which are largely underreported in the country.
“They are choosing a future in which Arabs and Israelis, Muslims, Jews, and Christians can live together, pray together, and dream together, side by side, in harmony, community, and peace,” President Trump said in a statement released by the White House Friday.
He also pointed to the detention of ethnic and religious minorities in China for what he called “mundane online activities” such as communicating with relatives abroad.
