The UK Sikh Survey 2019 indicates this has risen to 32% of respondents. This is more than a 50% increase between 2016 and 2019 and suggests over 150,000 Sikhs are being subjected to hate crimes.
The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for British Sikhs has written to the UK home and communities secretaries asking for urgent action to address anti-Sikh hate crimes, which are largely underreported in the country.
