Race report ‘serves interests of people who want to deny racism problem’, says Muslim Council of Britain

The Muslim Council of Britain has accused the authors of a government race report of aiding “people who want to deny racism is a problem”.

The organisation warned the report risks damaging trust in government among Britain’s more than two million Muslims by refusing to recognise institutional racism “as the cause for all of the strife we’re seeing today”.

It is now calling for a meeting with Prime Minister Boris Johnson to discuss why Islamophobia was omitted from the investigation.
