Two men have appeared in court accused of assaulting a rabbi who was allegedly struck over the head with a concrete brick.

Rabbi Rafi Goodwin was treated in hospital for head wounds after he was attacked in Chigwell in north London on Sunday afternoon, Essex Police said.
